Dan Long
Dan has 18 years’ experience in primary education, teaching across all age groups. He is passionate about curriculum design and how an enriched, engaging, and bespoke curriculum can transform children’s life chances. Dan has led Maths and English in different schools for well over a decade and directed Pupil Premium provision for five years. Currently Deputy Headteacher at West Witney Primary School, he is the strategic lead for assessment and data across a multi-academy trust, specialising in assessment system design and implementation to support high-quality teaching and learning and the strongest outcomes possible for children.

Sam Birnage
Sam Birnage is an experienced educational leader with over 16 years as a senior leader, including two successful headships in London and Oxfordshire. His career also spans international teaching experience in Australia, giving him a broad and insightful perspective on education systems and classroom practice. Sam developed an assessment strategy that was adopted across three London boroughs, reflecting his ability to translate strong educational thinking into practical, system-wide impact. He is deeply committed to ensuring that all children are ready to learn and is a strong advocate for a whole-school nurturing approach, believing schools must be emotionally safe environments in which every child can thrive. Alongside this, he continues to have a passion for the nuts and bolts of teaching and learning and for inspiring lifelong learners through thoughtful leadership and high-quality pedagogy.
